The Gaming Floor
Our casino is inside the Millennium Gloucester Hotel at 4-18 Harrington Gardens, London SW7 4LJ, in the middle of South Kensington. The gaming floor takes up just over 32,000 square feet, so by central London standards it is a fairly large room. Gloucester Road Underground station on the District and Circle lines is roughly three minutes away on foot, while Earl’s Court is about a nine-minute walk if you are approaching from that side.
On the tables you will find American Roulette, Blackjack, Baccarat, Caribbean Stud Poker, Three Card Poker and Multi Player Poker. We also run slot machines alongside the tables, including units linked to jackpots that can reach £20,000. The layout and equipment were refreshed after a venue renovation, and what you see today is in line with what you would expect from a fully licensed UK casino floor in 2024.
| Game Category | What’s Available |
|---|---|
| Table Games | American Roulette, Blackjack, Baccarat |
| Poker Variants | Caribbean Stud Poker, Three Card Poker, Multi Player Poker |
| Electronic Gaming | Slot machines, jackpots up to £20,000 |
We operate under a premises licence from the UK Gambling Commission, held by Grosvenor Casinos Limited. On the UKGC public register, this site appears as “London-Gloucester Road Grosvenor Casino” at the Harrington Gardens address, so anyone who wants to double-check the licence details can do that quickly before visiting.
Most directory listings show the venue as open more or less around the clock. Some listings, however, mention shorter hours that usually apply to the restaurant or private hire rather than the gaming area itself. If you are thinking about dropping in very late or very early, it is safer to check grosvenorcasinos.com or call ahead so the opening hours you saw online match what is actually running that day.
Your First Visit - What to Expect
Arriving is straightforward. Take the Tube to Gloucester Road, come out onto the street and walk south for a few minutes towards Harrington Gardens. Our entrance is signposted and sits within the Millennium Gloucester Hotel.
UK legislation means we must check age at the door. You will need valid photo ID, with no exceptions, and the front-of-house team will confirm it before you enter the gaming area. On a first visit, we may ask you to register or pick up a membership card at reception. This is standard at UK casinos, usually only takes a short time and then you are set up for future visits.
Inside the casino, the floor is arranged so it is fairly easy to get your bearings and see where each game type sits. If you want to play at the tables, you exchange cash for chips at the cashier desk before you take a seat. Slot machines accept cash or card on the machine itself. When you are finished, bring any remaining chips back to the cashier and the balance will be paid in cash. Our team are out on the floor throughout opening hours if you need clarification on limits, chip values or minimum stakes.
A small practical point that helps, especially if casino gaming is new for you: it is usually worth standing back from a table for a few rounds to watch how it works before you join in. Most dealers will run through the basics if you ask them to. There is no rush to sit down, and it is better to feel comfortable before you place your first bet.
Dining, Bar and Events
Our restaurant offers a Modern European menu and keeps service going late into the night, which is useful once other local kitchens have closed. The bar and lounge sit beside the gaming floor and act as a separate area, so you can sit with a drink or meet friends without needing to play at a table at all.
Restaurant bookings run through OpenTable. You pick Grosvenor Casino Gloucester Road, choose a time and date, note your party size, and add any dietary notes you want our kitchen to see. OpenTable sends through a confirmation with a reference number. On quieter evenings we may be able to take walk-ins, but pre-booking is normally the safer route, especially for larger groups or at peak times.
We also make the venue available for private events. A minimum spend applies for these, and the figure changes by day of the week and season. The details are confirmed during the enquiry process. DesignMyNight manages event reservations for our space, and that is the service you use to see available dates, minimum spends and the conditions attached.
| Venue Area | Function |
|---|---|
| Restaurant | Modern European menu, late-night service, bookable via OpenTable |
| Bar and Lounge | Drinks and social space next to the gaming floor |
| Event Space | Private functions, minimum spend applies, enquiries via DesignMyNight |
Guests who are dining only can stay on the restaurant side for the full visit. The restaurant and casino connect internally, but you are not obliged to enter the gaming floor at any point if you do not wish to.
